Mayfair - residential property refurbishment

Diamond Interior Contracts were appointed to refurbish a 7 bedroom period property in the heart of London’s Mayfair.

Mayfair is the most expensive property to rent on a UK Monopoly board and this house was no different. In this luxurious area of the city, rental returns for a family home are over £7k per week. The contract was to deliver extensive refurbishment to bring it up to the required standard for rental to a premium market.

Over 8 weeks the Diamond Interior Contracts team carried out:

• strip out of old fixtures and fittings
• repairs and maintenance to the fabric of the building
• upgrades to the many bathrooms
• a kitchen refresh which involved the installation of a luxury stone worktop  
• new floor coverings including luxury vinyl planks and carpets
• installation of 20 light fixtures, including chandeliers, spotlights and pendants
• painting and decorating throughout
• installation of 36 roller blinds, 22 roman blinds and 4 pairs of curtains
  

Steve Pearce of Diamond Interior Contracts oversaw project management of the whole contract to ensure delivery on time, which included managing the early arrival of tenants, as well as dealing with all contractors.

Leaving home at 5am to make the journey possible and parking at all possible was just one of the drawbacks of this otherwise perfect job.
